A follow up...

...to yesterday's river blip...

Trish and Gus arrived in time for Trish to meet up for coffee with her "Wallsend Gels" group.

Gus joined us for a stroll down the river for coffee at the Lowlight, and we also went upstairs to view the Merchant Navy exhibition. Excellent as always - and it covered a lot of the history of ships and boats on the Tyne too.

All four of us gathered for lunch at Hinnies - delicious - before T&G headed back to Stokesley and I met Sue for a stroll. It was warm enough to sit on a bench above the Longsands, and put the world to rights!

Back in time to watch the second half of the England/Denmark game. At this rate they'll be lucky to progress beyond the group stages ;(
