Trinity College Tower

The Park Circus District is one of my favourite areas of Glasgow. The District was part of a planned development created by Charles Wilson in the 1850's. The layout is reminiscent of the Georgian new town in Edinburgh.

This is the rear view of the former Trinity College (now Trinity House). The three Italian Renaissance towers are one of Glasgow's most visible landmarks when approaching the city.

Charles Wilson won the architectural competition to design the district's principal public building, Free Church College, in 1856. This building was later known as Trinity College, a name retained when converted to flats in 1985/1986, when most of the original interiors were lost.

Hope you are all enjoying this stunning weather.
