Stepping back in time ....

We headed over to Staffin this morning to another short walk from our guide book. We parked at An Corran  but tide was high and so we didn't go dinosaur footprint hunting.

Instead we headed over to Staffin itself and short walk but one which rewarded us with good views as we climbed over the bealach.

The tide was our a bit when we returned and so we went looking for footprints. I doubt we would have found any if left to our own devices but someone pointed our this one to us. We in turn pointed it our to an American family.

We then drove up to the Quirrang but didn't stop as it was heaving and instead made our way over to Uig and then back along the mai  road. I really enjoyed seeing more of the north of the peninsula. We stopped at the Skye Museum of Island Life. Well worth a visit.

The rain arrived when we there and so we headed back to our cottage.  I'm now ensconced in our porch looking at the passing rain and cars.

There is also enough of a phone signal to do some catching up with Blip - at least for the time being !  Blip not withstanding it has actually been quite nice not having constant access to the Internet !
