Spectacular day and spectacularly exhausting! Came back via Ribblehead and Airton which I haven't done for a couple of years. It's a wonderful route with a perfect cafe stop in Settle well after halfway - psychologically good!

I sang my way home and, for the last twenty miles, gave myself little landmarks to head for so as not to focus on how far I still had to go. I gave an audible cheer at each one before coming up with the next one.
