The Eildons

This is the view from my cottage, looking from Gattonside, over Melrose and on to the Eildon Hills. This photo doesn't really do the view justice as the hills are huge, taking up the whole width of the sliding doors which form most of the wall of the living space. I will need to try tomorrow with a bit of zoom. There are in fact three Eildon Hills, but the right hand hill here (Eildon Mid Hill) is blocking the view of the third hill, Eildon Wester Hill. The left hand hill is Eildon Hill North which has a Roman fort at the summit.

I got myself here as you can see, although it was quite an effort. I can rest up a bit now and I'm sure my aches and pains will start to subside again.
