In the early hours of today my sister fainted at a train platform and hit her head badly on the concrete and required emergency surgery due to bleeding in the brain. I was not told about this until I got home from work when I received a call from my dad.

Thankfully, the surgery was a success and she is expected to make a quick and full recovery. But I can't help but wonder how differently things could have been if she wasn't treated quickly.
