Yet another fairly long day bashing through deadlines and urgencies, whilst trying to participate properly in the planning meeting that I’ve purportedly travelled to Mozambique to join.

The standard Mozambique office Friday afternoon shutdown wasn’t an option available to my colleague Fondo and I, as we have some complicated issues to resolve on a proposal re-submission, which we hope will result in some funding this time. At least we packed up in time to stroll up the hill at sunset and enjoy the view of the glittering towers occupied by Maputo’s elite.
