Emerson Point Preserve

Wow, another walk at a preserve we had not been to for a long while, Emerson Point Preserve. This is a 365 acre state owned preserve on the mouth of the Manatee River, feeding into Tampa Bay & the Gulf of Mexico. 

We are tired! We walked over 2 miles at a brisk pace on a sandy, shady, meandering path. We went through the woods, over boardwalk bridges & up many stairs -which is rare in very flat Florida! At the top was an observation tower where we could see the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. I've added some extra photos and will now fall deeply into sleep!!
