Opening Day

Another long planned photo today and once again not entirely to plan. With the weather we've had over the last few days I was hopefull that there would be a nice blue backdrop on offer. However, at 5.30 this morning it was quite misty hence the white background. It also wasn't at all quiet and I had to wait a while for early arriving staff to go inside.

Anyway, today marked the long awaited opening of the latest addition to the Wetherspoons real estate portfolio - former music hall, former cinema, former bingo hall, always 'The Avion' and now finally a giant pub. Haven't been inside yet but hopefully they have done as good a job on the interior.

When I went past it this evening it was absolutely heaving with people. Wetherspoons may have their knockers but it really is good to see it being put to good use.
