A little morning
colour came up around my
mountains when I rose

I was out on my deck before 5 to catch this bit of colour on the horizon. My mountains look a little gloomy today as the blue skies did not return. 

I made a quick jaunt along the south end of Schubert Drive on the north shore. It gives views along the North Thompson River and to the downtown.  

I got another shot of my mountains from a different angle than I see at my house. The reflections on the river were quite pretty this morning.

I could look south and behind Riverside Park on the south shore to the development of City Gardens. The tower structure has a tall crane poised above it. It will be a collection of structures when complete. The tallest tower is to be 24 stories. The whole development is  planned to provide some 535 units of residential housing. I'm sure the city is rubbing its hands with glee at the prospect of all that property tax. I'm not convinced that it is a place I would like to live. 

I was home again by 5:30. I'm at a very low ebb in energy today. I'll make it a quiet day in the house.
