Walking south

Today I went for a long (well, long for me) walk south down the Itchen Valley.  I had meant to take people shots in town, but by the time I got myself together the sun was just too tempting.

I think this is a meadow pipit, but it's not a bird I know well, so if I'm wrong perhaps you'd be kind enough to tell me ;)  A handsome little body, in all events.  And with a beakful for the family.  After I'd walked as far as I wanted to, I caught the bus home.

Nothing else to report.  The day, I think, will end very peacefully.  Hope your Saturday has been and is a good one  xx
