Didn’t they do well!

I know that this isn’t the most exciting of photos but in a way, it is pretty amazing.
Our house is “connected” to the pavement and I guess some poppy seeds landed there. They must have germinated in the extremely small space between the tarmac and the granite blocks and here they are blooming!
In other news, there was a coffee morning thing on at the allotment today and I spent two and a half hours washing and/or drying dishes and it was really busy! There were about 10 helpers washing/drying dishes, serving customers or making tea/coffee and pancakes.
I was the only male helper!
“But pleasures are like poppies spread,
You seize the flow'r, its bloom is shed;
Or like the snow falls in the river,
A moment white - then melts for ever;
Or like the Borealis race,
That flit ere you can point their place;
Or like the Rainbow's lovely form
Evanishing amid the storm. - “
