Friday: Flooding

Although this might look like a lake, it’s actually a field on the side of the road on the way up to Belize City.  We’ve gone from drought and wildfires just a few weeks ago to severe flooding, due to heavy rains, in a matter of weeks.

I was up in Belize City this afternoon for a farewell event for my Panamanian colleague.  She is heading home, having completed her posting which lasted 9 years.  I seriously hope that’s not my fate!

A nice evening at ‘Wings And Feathers’ with S.  We were very excited to see a big spider, with a ton on babies on its back, walk across the floor.
