... for our two nights on Lundy :)

Up early - finished packing and got out before 8:30am.  Tim drove me down to the pier with our cases, then took the car home and raced back on foot to join me.  He made super quick time and arrived while I was still in the queue for the Lundy shore office, just before I made it to check in.

Had a really good crossing - so smooth!  We started off sitting on the port side, in the shade, but got very cold once the wind picked up - so we moved about a bit, sitting inside for some of the two hours, and standing on deck where Tim could be in the shade and I could have some sun.

Long uphill walk to the village from the pier - we were very glad when we got to the little reception block to find that our cottage was ready for us.  Walked straight there for a cup of tea, then went back up to the village for some supplies at the general store.  Popped out again after that, for a walk to the southern tip of the island, and a little explore - so beautiful!  Happy to find that our cases were waiting for us when we got back.  (They've got everything very well organised.)

Went back out early evening for (tasty) dinner and drinks at the Marisco Tavern - then back to the cottage for the night.  We embraced having no TV or WiFi, and played board games to the accompaniment of our little wind-up radio :)
