Unfurling Gardenia Blossom
Hubby was out the door before I awoke. His crew of Knights undertook their task of cleaning up highway trash. Doing it early meant they were home before our 98°F heatwave was in full force. After breakfast, I went outside briefly to look for a blip. This gardenia bush is just outside our front door. So glad I put it there. What a wonderful aroma met me. I washed and folded the last load of laundry and put away unused leftover containers from yesterday. We tried looking at journals and reading but took a nap shortly after sitting down. And that is it. We are going to 5:00 pm Mass and then to Kim’s to pick up the reorganized bins of silk flowers. We needed a quiet day. I hope yours was as well. Stay cool and safe. Thanks for stopping by. “The scent of gardenia is a delicate dance between floral sweetness and creamy richness. Preferring the warm embrace of the South, the gardenia keeps its charms reserved for warm summer nights, where you can catch its fragrance while chatting on the porch on a lazy summer evening.” - Julia Kahlig-Garuba
