Dinner in the BK

Enjoying our stay in East Wellow. It’s so nice to stay in one place for four days!

We took an Uber into Southampton, so we could meet up for coffee with Jeannie, a long time friend and our sons’ basketball coach when we lived here. We met at a community coffeehouse - Make & Brew owned by Hannah, the daughter of our friends, Geoff & Hélène.

Got an Uber back to our peaceful spot at “Whinwhistle”. It is approximately named, as we were told it can get quite windy here at times. We decided to put up our wind-break for protection and extra privacy, which was worth the extra work.

We both enjoyed a nap this afternoon, despite sleeping well at night - sometimes we just need to slow right down.

I took a little walk around the lake to pick some wild flowers for our table. David cooked this delicious steak dinner in the BK.

In the evening we had a lovely time chatting to our family back home on line. It was great to see them all!
