Littoral zone
The different states of the tide provide an infinite variety of scenes. I really like the mid-tide where the bright colour of the seaweed can be seen stranded high and dry on the rocks while some is still floating on the surface of the sea. This was the scene at Quinish this morning where Bertie and I enjoyed our walk. Later in the day our fitness was put to the test when we returned to agility class after a break of a couple of weeks. After initially being distracted by interesting smells around the edge of the field, the boy did well. I’m still recovering!
