These special girls!
S was one of the first carers who came to help J's Mum . She was 23 and had just arrived from Zimbabwe. Before Christmas she left to take a job in a care home. Today she came to visit us having driven from South Ayrshire and she was able to catch up with W, who replaced her when she left.
I am in awe of these beautiful , resilient young women, so far from home , with so little security in a country which makes life so difficult for them.
I'm so glad to know them.
We had a nice celebration and W was able to join in before assisting J's Mum.
Brownies where baked and her favourite 'mac and cheese' prepared for dinner.
It was a lovely afternoon.
We are back in Doune for 10 days now and just settling in.
