Red Squirrel

....on Brownsea Island. Protected from the grey squirrel by the waters of Poole Harbour.

I've had a lovely day on Brownsea, even though it didn't go as planned. My eldest son and family were due to join me but, unfortunately, one of my grandsons was unwell, so they had to abort the trip. Hopefully we'll reschedule for another time.

I spent most of the time trying to capture terns in flight, as they came in with fish for their young. No mean task - they are very fast-flying birds!

And then to the red squirrels, which kept me happily entertained for an hour or two :)
