Another Castle
Been here and there today. The sun came out again 20odd degrees but with a pretty stiff coastal breeze which dried the washing I did first thing beautifully. After a late breakfast we headed out to Budle Bay just up the road where there's a seating area to view the sea birds from. The tide was way out and there were only a few gulls dipping and diving in the distance.
We spent a nice afternoon in Seahouses, booked our passage on MV 'Serenity' which will take us over to the Farne Islands on Monday. Cuppa and delicious orange and almond cake in Rosemary's Tea and coffee house before we set off to Craster (didn't taste any of the famous kippers though) but had a gorgeous walk along the coastal path to Dunstanburgh Castle. Sheep and cattle grazing and stunning views.
Quite a few steps trodden today and quite tired tonight so off to bed and a read of my book.
