A brighter day

Just four of us in the walking group today, we are generally much lower in number than we used to be, for health reasons. Numbers don't matter, it is the encouragement to get out in the fresh air. Our walk took us along the canal and across fields, weaving our way between the motorway system, under then over. Considering how close we were to it, it was amazing how peaceful it was most of the way. The birds were singing well and the noise of traffic hardly noticeable. 

It ended up being shorter than I thought and we walked it rather quickly. We then drove to the pub but as it was early we walked to the next bridge (above) and back, adding another mile. Then we felt justified in having our meal. :-)
