Playing in the park

Doug used to live here in town but retired and bought a pull behind trailer and lives part of the year in Arizona and part of it up here in the mountains. He's a great fiddle and accordion player. I actually really didn't know him but when he's posted sporadically on fb I always comment. I like his lifestyle. Well out of the blue, when I was in Maine, he messaged me to see if I wanted to get together and play some tunes. I thought it sounded like a fun idea. We met at Undine park. The same place where the farmer's market is held. I was a little nervous to see if we would know some of the same tunes but it all worked out well. We both had some of the same fiddle books and we knew some of the same tunes. We played and chatted for a couple hours. I imagine we will get together again before he leaves. I was glad I had some bug spray because the mosquitos were all over me!
