Morning of running errands and buying paint meant I didn't get time to do any painting before our riding lessons this afternoon. Eva rode brilliantly. Jack knocked the double over and spooked himself so it went a bit pear shaped after that but lots of learning from it - we need to go right back to poles and build back up when that's happened. Very proud of Eva as she rode with such determination when I knew she was feeling nervous. 

I also had a fab lesson - when it feels like everything is slotting together. It was really warm though and we were both tired by the end. 

Got home really late. Had a BBQ in the garden. Can't walk on the patio slabs yet. Mike, Matt and Ethan working on it all day. Looks fantastic. Matt coming back to do the steps this weekend then the other half will hopefully be done next weekend. It's made such a difference and I'm so glad we decided to just get on with it despite the masses of stuff we have to do inside.
