Safari supper

We had a most enjoyable night out . It was a Safari Supper which meant going to a different farmhouse for each course and ended at the Village hall for cheese and biscuits and coffee. They were raising money for the chapel at Lower Withington.  The 3 photos are from each of the 3 farms. As you can see one of them is next to the radio telescope at Jodrell Bank. I’m in awe of farmers’ wives. They’re fabulous cooks, their homes are beautiful and immaculately clean and they’d done flower arrangements for the tables. The gardens are lovely too. Our friends treated us to the meal as well and we only paid for raffle tickets and fun competitions. I didn’t have a pound for guessing the age of a copper beech and a kind man sitting next to me gave me the coin.
