Enjoyed a day in Teignmouth for the Folk Festival.
This is the Majidah Tribal Belly Dancers based in Exeter. There were 27 Morris sides as well.
Something really exciting happened later. We were waiting on the station platform with many Morris dancers, laughing and singing. A fierce whistle got our attention, and round the bend, at full speed, and full steam came a steam special pulled by the Mayflower in green livery. Morris men and women cheered and waved their hats as the train flashed by. It was truly thrilling, and unexpected. The passengers must have felt like they were passing through Olde England. It was too quick for a blip. ,
