King with catch

This was as close as I managed to get to the Kingfisher.  He flew in with the catch, perched and almost immediately flew away again.  Still, lovely to see - and at least he perched in a sunny spot for me.  (It is another one of those "looks better in large" shots I'm afraid).

Speaking of lovely to see, we had lunch with our daughter Jess and her fiancee James at their place today, and were joined by the in-laws to be.  It was all very civilised and enjoyable.  Only a few weeks now till their wedding - its all getting very exciting.
