Apple Tree

Since CyclopsJnr was quite little he's loved the apple tree at Cyclops parent's house.

When he was little his Grandpa would pull down branches so he could pick apples, later he sat on Cyclops' shoulders, or later still he climbed a ladder.  The better apples make lovely eaters, and others make nice stewed apple which we can freeze and bring out for dessert from time to time.  In good years there are a lot of apples.

His Grandpa has been gone a couple of years now, and soon his Granny will be moving out.  CyclopsJnr is going to miss the apple tree and the memories it holds very much - and has been pretty upset about it.

He wanted to do something to mark this, so today he wrote some of his memories on a piece of paper and he buried it near the tree in the garden.  We hope over time it will become part of the soil, nourishing the tree with memories as well as the usual nutrients.  That way there will always be a little piece of him, Granny and Grandpa there.

He was very happy with this plan and was excited to put it into action today with lots of smiles for some commemorative photos.
