Rubbish

Sarah had her book launch early evening at The Leeds Library, of The Cautious Traveller's Guide to the Wastelands (blipped here) and I was quite keen (for some reason) to see the England football game against Denmark, so I booked tickets for G and myself to watch it at Millennium Square. There was great excitement when Harry Kane scored early on, but thereafter the atmosphere amongst the crowd rapidly fizzled out. For the entire second half there was hardly a raised voice as people fell into chatting amongst their groups, barely an eye to a game which was clearly going nowhere - for England at least.

We left early to get to the book launch and I had so little expectation that I didn't even bother to check the final score until I got home. The launch was a much more exciting affair. Congratulations Sarah. You're going to go a long way.
