Bee balm

I hadn’t planted any plants this year so yesterday between lunch and party I bought two Genovese basil, one Thai basil, two hot pepper plants, a tomato plant, and a bee balm. 

They are all nice and big, the pepper plant has peppers, the other pepper plant has flowers, the tomato plant has tomatoes. It feels like cheating but we are nearly through June. The bee balm attracted a tiny bee almost immediately. 

I got out of bed before 8 am so I could plant them before the heat got bad. We’ll see what still lives tomorrow. 

It will be less hot tomorrow and we will all collapse on Wednesday.

Several thousand Ukrainians took part in the festival of Ivana Kupala with folk dancing, flower decoration, and jumping over bonfires. Windmills, thatched houses, and other traditional buildings  dismantled, transported, and reassembled  from all the regions of Ukraine.

Ukraine midfielder Mykhailo Mudryk posts pictures of his cat on social media and now has his picture on his shin pads for a tournament with Britain. 
The EU has formally agreed to open negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova about membership.
