Down the line

At Stonehaven station waiting for the Edinburgh train. 

A morning walk upriver on the Dee - Blackhall estate on the East side of the river. River in extra. Saw an occasional fish jump, and sand martins. 
Family Sunday lunch out; the Cowshed does better food than its name implies. Afternoon walk (with the spaniels and my brother) downriver. Then to Stonehaven, icecream from Giulianotti's , and an on-time train. 

Train wasn't busy, though it had more cyclists than usual; talked to one who had cycled that morning from Aboyne via Ballater, getting on the train at Dundee. He'd started on Friday from Aviemore .. 

Sunny and pleasant to walk up from Waverley to the flat.
