Clouds at sunset

This is part of the view from our living room. I haven't seen in for 3 months, and although I know I've posted images like this before, the sky is never quite the same from one day to the next, one time of year to another.

There have been some big storms while we've been away, so I should check back and see whether there were any more survivors on the skyline in this shot when I last captured it. We lost two trees from our section, a fir tree near the road which someone partially cut down so they could get past. Then our neighbour kindly tidied up the branches for us. The other tree was smaller, so yesterday afternoon, before the rain started, we converted them both to firewood. We'll mulch the branches when things dry out a bit.
