Red pears

What else to do on a cold and grey day but photograph some pears. Actually we did go out for lunch but that's another story. Anyway these pears have recently appeared in the supermarket and are a registered Golden Bay cultivar called Piqa Boo. They "combine characteristics from European, Japanese and Chinese pears". They taste good too, a bit like a sweeter Nashi. The bowl is Japanese.
