Glorious walk
We walked from White Park beach to the Giant's causeway visitor centre along the coast. It was 12km each way, a bit further than we'd bargained for due to confusion over car parks. The coast was stunning and as we walked you could see the amazing column structures in the cliffs and the basalt pavement on some of the lower areas. The sun was out and the sea was incredibly blue. We could see lots of different bits of the Scottish coast as it was so clear. We stopped for a large coffee and scone at the visitor's centre and then headed back. We had our sandwiches sitting on a slightly windy bench overlooking the sea after about 90 minutes of the return journey. Just beautiful.
It was warm enough to sit outside and read when we got back. We ate outside, dived through the feeble shower and then returned outside to watch the sunset.
In bed before it got properly dark. I've caught the sun. I have a large red v shape on my front and pink arms. We've not seen much sun before now. Sunscreen for the rest of our walks from now on.
