Cardoon

I grow cardoons but these heads are in my neighbour's garden. Mine are a bit behind hers in size. Such interesting shapes I always think. 

Yesterday was so much fun. Thanks for all the kind wishes. The weather was perfect and we sat outside all the time. The cake was excellent and everyone enjoyed the food (I hope). By 7pm everyone except my sister, BiL and daughter had gone home. Cameraman, my BiL and my daughter watched the football. My sister and I sat out till 10:00pm-ish. The first time this year really. Shame about the game. 

Could not sleep last night. My sister was the same. The moon was amazing and I did try for some shots but they weren't very good. A bit weary today. 

Our grandson is here. He looks a bit pale too. Everyone is tired and it's a bit humid which doesn't help. Our visitors go this afternoon and we'll miss them. Our grandson goes home tonight then we have an outside AGM to attend. I might send apologies and have an early night.
