Day 21 - to Poznan
I had a think about things to do in Łódź on a Monday when all the museums are closed and found there was really good street art so suggested that.
However this morning (cool with drizzle) Mr C admitted he wasn’t interested and thought we should just plough on to Poznan, a much longer drive. It would make for a long boring day of motorway driving but he felt up for it. But first we had to have a Lidl shop, always interesting but time-consuming as we don’t know what anything is. Perhaps once we get further west we’ll can have a day off from driving.
Eventually arrived at the Poznan campsite which has small pitches with low hedges around them. We thought we’d stay 2 nights and have a relaxing day tomorrow and take a taxi into the old town. Unfortunately the site has a block booking of 20 vans tomorrow so at the moment they will be full. We have the option of taking a risk and waiting till 11am to see if there could be space in which case we could stay and get a Bolt into the old town. But if there’s no spaces we’ll have wasted the morning and won’t have enough time to get far in Germany. If we left early we would have a long drive but get to Meissen which looks a nice place with an old town.
The sun has come out so we’re relaxing with the last G&T - Lidl had no tonic!
285 miles today. Here’s a blip of the most interesting bit of a boring driving day - a bridge over the Vistula in Warsaw.
