White Lady Walk

We walked from the beach up over the headland to cove with the blowhole and then on to White Lady Bay. We said hello to dad as we walked by the spot we scattered his ashes earlier this year. It was serendipitous that the cottage we have rented for the week is directly across the bay.

The tide was right in on our return so it was the perfect time for a dip. It was as still as a millpond and crystal clear….glorious. We had a picnic and chilled on the beach. It was a bit cloudy but the sun came out in the afternoon and we read our books and just enjoyed the beauty of the beach.

The people we rented off had left a lovely Victoria sponge for us so we headed back for tea and cake in the garden and some more reading. Poor Jude didn’t realise how strong the sun was and she is quite burnt on her arms…T-shirt sleeves down. Plenty of skin cream has been gently applied tonight.

The sunset was spectacular from the sunroom and we watched it set serenely amongst smudged oranges, reds, yellows, pinks, mauves and every shade in between.

(I took this pic from the back garden with my drone…a quick flight up and a photo across the bay where we walked this morning)
