ISN'T SHE SPECIAL?
It's Mono Monday and the Theme is "something special."

This is a back Blip from a little over a year ago. My "something special" is my wife of 56 years, J. She's ringing the bell at the Lombardi Cancer Center in Sheboygan, WI after finishing her last round of chemo....it's a tradition at Lombardi. Surrounding her are some of her nurses who saw her through many rounds of treatment.

She's doing very well today and is currently getting occasional infusions of a chemical designed to minimize estrogen. She tested positive for all three genes that control estrogen production...and it's estrogen which feeds cancer cells. So.......minimize estrogen and you lower the chances of the cancer metastasizing. She will continue the infusions for a few months and will be on estrogen limiting pills daily for the next 5 years. I'm so very proud of her.
