Robert Burns rock

The Peoples Project of Dumfries have gifted this statue to the town to mark the 60th anniversary of the Queen's coronation. It was unveiled yesterday by Princess Anne and stands outside the church where Robert Burns is buried. As I'm not sure he was ever a royalist, he may be turning in his grave. The carvings in the sandstone depict two of his poems - 'ca' the yowes to the knowes' and 'tam o' shanter' and there is a wee timorous cowring mousie trembling in a corner as well.
