Saturday shoot
After morning swim in pool at hotel we took bus and went for adventure. First stop was The Tombs of the Kings. Itis a large necropolis lying about two kilometres north-west of Paphos harbour in Cyprus. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. So Interesting and humbling place.
The underground tombs, many of which date back to the 4th century BCE, are carved out of solid rock, and are thought to have been the burial sites of Paphitic aristocrats and high officials up to the third century CE (the name comes from the magnificence of the tombs; no kings were in fact buried here). Some of the tombs feature Doric columns and frescoed walls. Archaeological excavations are still being carried out at the site. The tombs are cut into the native rock, and at times imitated the houses of the living.
There were hot as frying pan, so pretty quickly we hopped to bus and went onwards in coastal road. Hopped out in Coral Bay, one of Cyprus best, blue flag beaches. Went for swim to cool out. And man it came when needed! Day was really hot. After swim we went to have snack and drink at street cafe ( vanilla milkshake for My Girl and Bahama smoothie for me).
We tried to take bus to Paphos Zoo located about 6km from Coral Bay, but missed it twice! So instead we sat on bus stop and eat picnic, we got from local supermarket. These happens made the day feel real adventure for us.
My Girl stayed evening at hotel with her aunt and her friend, but after quick swim and short rest I took another bus with my camera and went for REAL SHOOTING at Faros Beach at sunset. It was still a bit warm out, but it was bearable in sea shore, where wind was stronger.
Afterwards we all went to dine at Kato Paphos, Tea for Two (English menu). I had fried chicken and french fries with village salad. Watched people strolling by. It was busy Saturday night.
