The Burren and the Aran Islands

We arrived home very late last night. We had a leisurely drive from Kilkenny to Dublin, a smooth sailing to Holyhead, a nice drive through Wales and then we hit the M62. It was closed just north of Manchester, 5 lanes of heavy traffic squeezed into 1 and we were then shunted off the motorway. This, needless to say, took a long time! Once back on the M62 it seemed like plain sailing until we hit the M1 which was also shut. Not as much traffic this time and the diversion not as long but we could have done without it. Great holiday, though.
