Shocking ....
.... almost literally!
Another dull, intermittently drizzly, day. So W, having finished sorting out the display unit - he'll touch up the paint tomorrow - decided to continue sorting jobs inside the house.
The downstairs bedroom was known by previous owners as "the blue room" as that was the colour of the paintwork; when we had it redecorated we still went with blue, so it continues to be the blue room. When we had it redecorated, we removed the curtain poles, as we wanted to replace the metal poles with wooden ones. So today's job was to put up the new poles.
Whilst drilling the second hole, we lost power. Our thought was perhaps we had briefly overloaded the circuit with the drill, so restored power and continued - resulting in a flash from the hole, and a further loss of power.
Who puts a wire up there? Serving what purpose - no sockets or wall lights anywhere near?
Job abandoned till we can get an electrician to advise us!
