Marjorie's ramblings

Yet more pansies?

Yes. Today I drove Margret (next door) and Liz (from down the village) to Allenheads. I had picked out a place where I could park near to a bank of pansies.

We loved seeing them and identified a few other flowers in the area. It's not a species rich bank. That may be because the lead mining has "polluted" the soil, but made it an ideal environment for the pansies.

Lunch was at The Hemmel in Allenheads. It has a very relaxed feel with delightful staff. We ate outside until a light shower drove us inside. The beautiful dog in my blip was lying beside his owners on the next table.

I went to say hello and was met with a low growl. He is a rescue dog and not fully socialised yet. He behaved very well, lying patiently while the owners had lunch and not responding to a noisy dog nearby.

I've had an easy afternoon and evening.
