Walkies at Bridgewater

It was even hotter today! Really, too hot. However I had booked for us to go to the the RHS Bridgewater garden as it was a ‘Walkies’ evening and we haven’t been for ages.
Alas, our car air conditioning has decided not to work so that’s typical on the hottest day of the year!
We made it and fortunately there was enough breeze to keep us comfortable.
There were plenty of dogs for Bonnie to greet, but it was not at all crowded so we had a lovely wander around. The pond in the Paradise garden was a lovely place to sit for a while and watch the dogs go by. One Springer spaniel just couldn’t resist lying down in the runnel of water!
We strolled over towards the lake and into the cool woods, as you see the primulas are looking great.
The full glory of the summer borders is not quite there yet but it’s all looking full of promise!
