WWT Slimbridge

L & I went to Slimbridge today, we had a great day photographing a lonely blue throat, a pair of cranes with two offspring, bearded reedlings (in an avery), otters & many other ducks & geese. It seemed like we walked miles out along the summer walk to the shepherds hut then to the south side to see the cranes & then to the kingfisher hide (no kingfisher) passing the dragonfly pond with a broad bodied chaser posing on a post for us.
A lunch break was enjoyed in the cafe.
Very hot at times but I’m certainly not complaining.
