Hide and Seek with a Young Stag

I was surprised to see this beauty in amongst the tall grasses and reeds, as I went for a walk in Candford Sang this evening. It's a place where many go to walk their dogs, although, admittedly, it was getting late by then and most had gone home. Anyway, he was quite close to me but well hidden most of the time, so I spent quite some time trying to get a clear shot. My patience was finally rewarded :)

Side note - it's been steaming hot today!!!
