Cove

Lovely walk from Pendeen to St. Ives on the coast path. It was billed as strenuous and challenging and it definitely was! Lots of beautiful coves, wild flowers, a chime (collective noun apparently) of wrens - very fitting name, their sweet song as I walked was beautiful - burrowing bees and wild ponies. I saw seals in the distance bathing on rocks too. It was boggy underfoot in parts which I successfully navigated until the end when I lost my balance and ended up ankle deep in gloopy mud. On the positive side I was delighted to find that my new boots didn’t let any liquid in!
