WW Broken

For years we have needed a pedestrian crossing here. Now that the authorities have agreed they are installing 3. I think it's 3 but after all the community consultation, discussion and disagreement I've tuned out.
So there is major disruption at the intersection. This shows only 1/3 of it. They are digging up large areas of road, widening (or is it narrowing footpaths),  creating pedestrian havens etc.
IMHO painting a few stripes on the road would have done the trick, but not nearly as impressive (or expensive).
Sort of fits RockArea's challenge of "broken".

Photogroup this morning and then we went to Lithgow to tick off a few to dos, including a new side mirror on the car. They couldn't get one to match the colour so found one at the wreckers and painted it a perfect match, which saved us about $300 :-)
