Journey to Lincolnshire via Barton
An early start and a farewell to C and D as they left for work and we left for our holiday in Lincolnshire. We had all day to take it easy, so parked up at the Hull Bridge and walked along the Hessle Foreshore walk alongside the Humber. We saw beautiful wildflowers and an awesome view of the Humber Bridge.
Spout, handle, lid of metal, what's inside the Singing Kettle? This was a rhyme that the girls sang a lot as children. A TV programme which they had on video. So, when we drove through Barton, we took the opportunity of lunch at The Singing Kettle tea shop. A delightful stop over.
We also visited Baysgarth Park for a parkrun reckie. A lovely park, which we can return to, hopefully with C and D.
