Desk top computer has died. Cannibolised. Jings what a lot of gold it contains, that will be recovered before the bits go to the tip recycling centre.

This is the cpu cooling fan (the black bit) and heat sink (metal bits). The bolts that keep it contact with the cpu are interestingly spring mounted, presumably to dampen noise and vibration while maintaining close contact with the hot bits. I thought it would make a good design for a great cathedral or imposing municipal building (scaled up a bit obviously)
