Ilfracombe Museum
Lovely day. We walked down to the seafront after lunch, and went to the museum (you can just see the top of its roof in the middle of this pic). Our first visit there, and it was excellent! Lots of really interesting local info and artifacts, but some other really eclectic collections too. It was great seeing paintings from Ilfracombe of old, with wide open spaces and much fewer houses - and the WW1 exhibit was really moving (letters from servicemen at the front replying to the bundles of letters they'd received from a school here).
We went for a coffee at the Landmark after that, then trudged back up the hill to home (still knackered from all our Lundy wanderings!)
Sat out in the summer house in the evening with a glass (or three) of Tim's latest batch of wine - and stayed out there until dark :)
